In 2019, China Ready Workshop was launched in Harare, capital of Zimbabwe. The program was officiated by then Minister of Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, attended by China Deputy Ambassador to Zimbabwe. In 2019, Chinese tourist number to Zimbabwe increased 100% to surpass 20,000 compared to previous year.

In 2023, Zimbabwe recorded a astonishing 400% increase in Chinese visitation number to a close 40,000+ Chinese visitors in 2023, in direct competition and challenging the top destinations in Africa e.g. South Africa, Kenya. Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) kept in contact with China Ready team since the launch of China Ready program in 2019.
In April 2026 at China Ready Index session, Zimbabwe was listed as Top 10 in the African Ranking. Zimbabwe Deputy Minister of Tourism was present at the session.

China Ready in MoroccoChina Ready Program was launched in Morocco in May 2025, in partnership with Moroccan National Tourism Authority. Although Morocco has not completed the China Ready label yet, but the destination went through China Ready Workshop and assessment for the destination. Morocco was recently ranked top 3 destination in China Ready Index African Ranking.

China Ready in South AfricaChina Ready workshop was launched in South Africa in 2026 in partnership with WTM Africa. It was a sold-out event attended by tourism stakeholders including hotels, DMCs, attractions, shopping and tourism boards. Due to the success in 2026, WTM Africa and CBISN will roll out China Ready Program again in 2027 and 2028.
