The China Ready Index® is a Global ranking system that assesses how ready a tourism destination is to appeal to, serve, attract, and benefit from Chinese outbound visitors. China Ready Index is part of the China Ready Program, created with IP rights owned and operated by CBISN Services. The program is supported by China Outbound Tourism Research Academy, COTA. The Index draws from the criteria used in China Ready certification & accreditation program, adapted into a comparative, quantitative format.

- Guidance on where improvements are needed e.g. infrastructure, culture, hospitality, services, marketing etc.
- Tool for tourism boards, hospitality providers, and investors to make strategic decisions.
Empirical Outcomes
- Many destinations that participated saw significant increases in Chinese arrivals, sometimes over 100% growth in a year.
- So readiness is not just theory—it translates to market performance when implemented.
